Character Education

Character Education at The Beaconsfield School

At The Beaconsfield School, we believe that character is the foundation of a successful and fulfilling life. Guided by Aristotle’s idea that “we are what we habitually do,” our Character Education programme is built to develop students into thoughtful, resilient, and responsible individuals who live out our five core values: Respect, Hard Work, Empathy, Responsibility, and Community.

These core values are central to the identity of every TBS student. However, we also recognise the importance of wider virtues—such as curiosity, integrity, humility, courage, and gratitude—which help students navigate life’s challenges with moral insight and emotional intelligence.

Our work with the Jubilee Centre underpins our research into character education, and we follow the Jubilee Centre Framework for Character Education to embed three key strands: Character Caught, Character Taught, and Character Sought.
