Science
The Beaconsfield School science department focuses on the students maintaining their natural curiosity in science and to advance their understanding of the material and natural world around them. The department strives for all students to have the basic knowledge and understanding of science so that they appreciate everything scientific that they come across in everyday life. Students will develop their knowledge and ability to work scientifically so that they can make informed life choices with both scientific and ethical perspective.
Our curriculum is designed to spark curiosity and provide learners with an exciting experience of science. Our curriculum is carefully sequenced and differentiated to be accessible and challenging to all. Our goal is for ALL pupils to be aspirational learners who wish to continue their learning beyond the classroom. The Science curriculum is littered with opportunities to practice high standards of both numeracy and literacy so that our students can fully appreciate and communicate the current scientific issues and solutions that are relevant now and in the future.
