GCSE and A Level students can register now to start looking for their placement for work experience which will take place during the week beginning 24th June 2019. Although as a school we offer support and guidance to find work experience, the best placements do get filled very quickly, so it's a good idea for students to be approaching companies now. www.studentladder.co.uk

As you may know this year instead of raising awareness and money for a chosen charity, we are looking at hosting numerous events to raise awareness and support our local community. Our Homeless Sleep Out is the first of our big events. If you would like to sponsor your child, you can do so by donating on the following link, or even if you would just like to support the school in this community project, we would appreciate any donation. Mr Fletcher will be taking part in a half marathon the weekend of the sleepover so has asked that any support be given to The Wycombe Homeless Connection instead. https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/fundraiser-display/showROFundraiserPage?userUrl=MarketingTheBeaconsfieldSchool&pageUrl=1

London Youth Baseball League is based (generally) in Farnham Park, though they do practice in a number of other venues including the ACS International schools in Cobham and Egham as well as Richmond Baseball Club. The club is very active and always keen to accept new players. The contact e-mail and facebook site addresses have been included on the poster should anyone fancy swinging a bat.

Parents

Seeing the class teacher on the school gate and checking your child’s book bag for communications may not take place in secondary school but communication is none the less important. We welcome parents raising their concerns early so we can find solutions quickly before matters escalate.
