Following on from the success of last week’s results I am pleased to inform you that the GCSE and BTEC outcomes are just as strong. The results show that when individuals work hard and apply themselves excellent progress can be made enabling students to progress to the next stage of their life with confidence and a sense of pride in their efforts.
We wish to congratulate all students who have applied themselves over the course of their studies to obtain their individual outcomes, we are extremely proud of them and wish them all the best for the next stage of their education.
The percentage of students gaining grade 9 to 7 has remained consistent with the number of gaining high grades in vocational in arts subjects also increases. The number of students gaining grade 4 passes across 5 subjects have also increased. Grade 4 passes in English and Maths remain consistent and strong.
We are looking forward to seeing many of last year’s Year 11 students, together with students from other schools, as they enrol in our Sixth Form courses which this year have been supplemented with the introduction of the International Baccalaureate Career Programme which blends vocational and academic qualifications to help students prepare for apprenticeships and university in a more practical way.
Students can sign up for the Sixth Form by contacting the Head of Sixth Form, Mrs Juliet O’Donnell, on email@example.com
